Supported Housing
We support people with learning disabilities to live how they choose in our supported living service. Supported independent living is about people who have a mental health disability, having the same level of choice, control and freedom in their daily lives as any other person.
People who live in supported living need guidance and care to achieve daily living skills and fulfil their aspirations. It does not mean that someone has things done for them or that they live alone. Instead, it means that people have choice and control over the assistance and/or equipment they need to go about their daily life, and that people have equal access to transport, health, education and training opportunities.
FairChoice Supported Living will support you with whatever type of leisure activity you want to get involved in within your community - we can make it happen. We organise activities ourselves or support people with learning disabilities and their families to arrange their own. We have been supporting people for years, so we know what quality support looks like.
Floating Guidance
Our Floating Support program is designed for service users who are already living or planning to live in independent housing and require a tailored support package.
The goal of our Floating Support service is to help people retain and grow their independence, manage risk, avoid isolation, stay healthy, and keep their tenancy.
Guidance includes:
- Assistance in locating suitable housing, either through the local municipality or privately rented.
- Tenant retention assistance
- Assistance with gaining access to local facilities and services
- Assistance in scheduling and attending appointments
- Financial assistance and statutory benefit applications
- Monitor your health and well-being.
- Monitoring of Mental Health
- Clozapine medication compliance monitoring
- Risk
- Reporting and monitoring
- On-call crisis management services
